9 Key Frames

With this picture on the right I really wanted to create another angle this is where i catch a glimps of Jack Black walking towards me. I feel that the way in which this shot was taken was with the field and also i felt there was the snow behind and it really helped me create a romantic mood.

With this picture above, here is myself standing
writing about my wedding section in the magazine,
I feel that this picture really tires in what I
was talking about in my essay that women
are more independent on their own, working.
With this picture also I feel i have really
caputered a good angle of myself.
The background of this was very essential to me
as i wanted it to look very romantic, so it was
excellent that i had snow to help me create that.

With this picture above I really tried to cature the
walk and the case of the gituar in the shot aswell.
I also felt that the way the light was in the picture really
helped me to create a romantic feel to the picture.
Also i feel that this picture really showed that men can't be
without women as he is walking towards me with a guitar.

With the picture on the right hand side above, I felt this
one was a really good shot showing the auidence that with the way in
which he was holding the giutar was really feminine whihc helped me again with my essay the Representing gender.

With the image above this is where Jack is holding
the car door for me, this is a very mascline but gentallymenly
thing to do holding the door for a women. This I felt was really good. Also you can see the car in the back ground which was really good as it shows the audi, showning that he is  feminine.
With this picture above this is where Jack is
playing Kate a song in which he created for her,
I think this really showed a romantic side to Jack.

The image on the right hand side is the ring on the table in which i was given by Jack himself. This just shows that he is very feminine like with the size of the ring and the size of the stone. Also the way it is in the box.

As you can see this is the picture with me in the car,
i really did think this photo was really good, as it shows
the car and it helped me create look of me trying to act a
little bit masculine in the car. This was created by the
clothers i was wearing they were browns and that is a
masculine colour also showed the mood of the me as
well very pure and not very feminine like.
Here is the final and closing picture to me scene when Kate sees Jack outside of here window on one knee looking up at her. This I think was really good picture because you can see that Jack is on one knee and he is totally in love with Kate. All he needs now is to see if Kate says yes.

Final Gender Essay

Gender is repersented in some different ways in both the films The hoilday and Run Fat Boy Run when we look in to both films the messages that are show in the film are quite similar.

Cameron Diaz is a non typical masculine woman who stars in Romantic comedy film called The Holiday which was directed by Nancy Meyers the film was brought out in 2006. The feminine stereotype is challenged with Cameron Diaz when finds out that her boyfriend has cheated on her with younger women. This is a negative part of a man because once they have been with a  woman  for so long they fantasia over a younger women , this is only for some men as others stay faithful to their partners . She then starts to lash out at him and hits him in anger. But the difference between Cameron and her boyfriend is that Cameron cannot cry like other women. Crying is a generally stereotype of women. When we look deeper in to the relationship Cameron is very much the dominative female it is her house and she takes charge. Another stereotype is that a man usually the most dominate in the relationship who takes charge to care for the women.  This is also shown when Cameron has her own business which is making trailers. She puts a cutting room in the house. Another major part is when she actually sleeps with her black belt under her pillow this is another part of her being more masculine than feminine. It shows to the audience that Cameron is strong and independent. The message that I got when i watched this scene was that no would mess with her. Also with the house in which Cameron owns it shows that she has a lot of wealth she is an extremely good business women and she knows what she wants. The clothing in which Cameron wears though out the film shows that she is pure as she wears a lot of white, but by the end of the film she wears some bright colored clothing stating the fact that she is no longer pure, this symbolises that she has let go and is acting more like a lady.

In Run Fat Boy Run the disruption in the film is when Simon Pegg leaves his pregnant fiancĂ© at the altar, this is a not typical male behavior running away at the wedding, so Simon is stereotyped that he is the runaway bride. This is a typical stereotype of women they run away from their fears if they are not ready to commit to their partners, women mature more quickly than man, so with Simon running away it sends the message to the audience that he is not ready to commit to being married. This is the start of the disruption that he loses his family, and he tries for the rest of the film to win his family back but Thandie Newton doesn’t allow him back in to her life she allows him access to his son. The clothing in which Simon wears is very much feminized his trousers have a flea bottom to them. When we look deeper in relationship it is like the Holiday the women is in control she has to make the decisions, she has the more dominant role.
In both films the surrounding characters act like they are more feminine in the holiday Jack Black acts very feminine by the actions in which he makes he is the typically female stereotype of have an Audi A4 convertible and living in Los Angeles. In Run Fat Boy Run the man that Thandie Newton is seeing Hank Azaria is portrayed as a Drama Queen and very much a feminine character with traits of women, he goes to a cycling club which has mostly women, and they way he talks about the workout in legs. Then when they race in the running event Hank Azaria trips Simon Pegg over and Simon Pegg really hurts his ankle and Hank Azaria the alpha male goes off to hospital and blames Simon for what happened he doesn’t have any damage to his leg but he makes out it is worse than it is.
In Run Fat Boy Run there is a scene where we get to see where Simon Pegg works he works as a security guard in a ladies underwear store. Simon Pegg doesn’t look like a security guard they are usually big and strong. When Simon looks in to the mirror you can see that his appearance is more like a woman. Men never check themselves out in the mirror in public it is usually women that do that. This is his only job he has and he cannot afford a house so he stays in a bedsit, which he can’t afford the rent and the owners are consonantly nagging him for the rent, they even have to black mail him in to paying the rent. This just shows that he doesn’t earn much money. This is showing to me that he can’t look after himself when he is on his own, this shows that he isn’t very independent, he is very dependent on his friend to help him. Where it was the night before the big run and Simon Pegg made sure that he used nipple cream to stop the t-shirt rubbing against them. This is a strange thing to do as men generally do, most men just go for a run and don’t bother about outing cream on as it is very feminine to do something like that.
Cameron and Jude Law go on a date this is where cameron challenges the female stereotype of a women.  The way in which she talks to him is like a job interview the words in which she uses makes her sound like a man. Jude responded with can we stop my palms are sweating and this feels like a job interview. Women don’t ask the questions about the man’s business on a first date, they generally talk about other things such as hobbies and such like. When Cameron finds out that he is a widower, he then in his own household becomes a mother and a dad. He talked about buying ballet costumes, sowing these are all things in which women do as mothers for their children. This challenges the father role as he is left on his own, he has to learn how to become more independent as he has his children to look after as well.
In the connection with Run Fat Boy Run and the Holiday both men have had their wives left them but with different circumstances but the big difference between is that Jude Law can cope very well with dealing with his children and has a really good job and a lovely cottage. Then Simon doesn’t have a good job and he lives in a bedsit which he can’t afford to pay the rent. This is a message to the audience that some men can actually show a measure of sucess, and can cope on there own. Also when we look in to it they both challenge the male gender role, in both films there are parts in which they act like females.
In both films gender is represented differently but when you look in to it they both have the same meanings men in films are represented as more feminine as this is what women want to see a man being like. Most women prefer having a man that is more like them as this means that they will have more common. When I look at the films gender is represented with men and women being like each other. In the holiday the women are like the men not being able to cry and being very independent upon themselves. If they had a man to care for them they might not be as business like and they might act differently with having someone to take care of them. Also when we look in to other films in which some of the stars have been in they are given the masculine parts like Cameron Diaz is in Charles Angles which is a fighting and is based around a male audience.
The messages in which both the films are trying to say is that most women in the audience of these films prefer to have a man that can cope without a women in there life. It gives a good mind set for the women to know. The films are both saying that most women are very independent, without a man in their life, they act very strong. Also a big message that is shown in the films is that men can also act very feminine and women can enjoy this having a man to relate to in their life. In my conclusion I feel that both the films in there own way show that women are more mascline than men and they can handle themselves more than men can handle themselves alone.

Script Images

Picture 1
As you can see in this picture I have got an image of the field. The reason why I think this picture is really good is because the setting and the layout of the field is very romantic, the accessibility of the field is very near to me so I can travel there when ever I need to. In this picture I think it very much a ladies place to sit and write about weddings. I will be sitting with a note pad and writing.

Picture 2
As you can see in this picture I have got a car, in this picture I have tried to get a good close up of the car and what exactly I am going to do is have Sean Stock (Jack Black) opening the door of the car then I will be standing in the inside of the door next to Sean Stock.  This image I think works really well as it shows the femininity of Sean Stock (Jack Black) with the type of car that he has. Also the colour is a major part of this as it blue it shows the femininity of Sean Stock (Jack Black).

Picture 3
As you can see this is of an office of Danica Ebers (Kate Winslet) I have decided to set it out like this because it looks like an office. It also has a window in which Danica Ebers looks out of and see Sean Stock on one knee. With this picture there will be sound in which is played. This is very much a ladies office as it is tidy and everything looks clean and tidy.

Picture 4
This is an image of the guitar in which sean Stock is going to play. This is going to be in field with me sitting with note pad. This is a really good shot as it shows a lot of femininity that Sean Stock is showing in the scene.

Picture 5
This is where I am going to have Danica Ebers (Kate Winslet) waving goodbye to Sean Stock (Jack Black) and blowing him a kiss. I think this will be really good in the scene because you can really connect with the love and the friendship in which the two of them share. Also I think that will give the audience a good chance to see feminine side to Danica Ebers (Kate Winslet) as well showing the audince how much she realy likes Sean Stokc (Jack Black)

Picture 6
This is an image of Sean Stock on one knee and it is from a height i am going to take this. It will also behind a window as Sean Stock will be outside the building. This is really good because it shows the femininity of Sean Stock being at Danica Ebers office holding a ring, in the box.

Picture 7
This is an image of Kate's Office with the bunch of flowers and big teddy bear on her chair, I think this creates a wondering part to the scene as she doesn't know who has put the gifts in her office. This a very feminine image I am going to take. The office is very accessible to me so i can go and take more pictures i feel they need to be improved.

Picture 8
This is where I am going to have an image of Sean Stock walking in to kates office which i think this will be really good as you can see the connection in which Kate has with Jack in scene. This will really show the femine side to Jack and the facal expression he will have will show the audience the love in which he shares for Kate.

Picture 9
This is where I am going to have Danica Ebers hand and Sean Stock hand together holding hands and showing off Kates Ring on her fingure. This will be a really good indicator to the audience what will be happening, but also it will create a little bit of wonder as well what will be happening to Jasper Bloom?
I will use a close up of the hands and i think it will work better being close uo rather than a long shot.

Location Report

Location report

While I was taking the pictures for my scenes I noticed a few risks in which I need to overcome while I am on the premises.

· One of my shots is in the road, so I need to make sure that I have someone making sure that there are no cars coming so they do not get in the way of the shot.
· The field in which my first scene there is barbed wire so I need to make sure that there is no barbed wire in my scene. Also I need to make sure that my actors are safe to get to my scene.
· Also one of my shots I need to hang out of a window so I need to make sure that I don't lean too far out of the window to prevent me from falling out of the window.
· I feel that this premise will be very effective in my film because the genre is romantic and I feel that this field and the surroundings are very much like the romantic feel in the film.
· This field is very accessible and it is easy to get to as well.

Ways I can prevent these from happening is making sure that I have extra people just making sure that there are no accidents. Also I will be having a first aid kit on the premises as well, I am also a first aider so there is no need to have one on site.
Also I am will put out a sign around saying that there is filming in progress to stop people from walking around the areas in which I am using.

Here is a picture of the field location, also I espically liked this one beacause you see the sun and the shadows on the field.

Here is picture of the field location from a different angle, this was taken a little bit later on in the day, so then i can decide which time to take it with the colours and where the sun is at the specific times in the day.

Here is a picture of the field from a birds eye view, as you can see there is a shadow of a tree in the background.
